Senior Minister
Rev. Ryan Motter lives by a few simple words: be intentional, be persistent, and be gentle. He's a Kansas City-native shaped by some time in Texas and Tennessee, and he shares his life with Lydia, Eliza, his partner Suzanne, and their family pup Jeff Louise, aka JeffyLu.
Ryan began as the sixth Senior Minister of Creekwood in September 2023.
Rev. Suzanne Motter
Minister of Community Life
Suzanne is passionate about creating opportunities for people to serve in love and learn alongside others. She finds joy and will never tire of reminding people they are God’s beloved. Along with her husband Ryan, also serving at Creekwood, she has two children, Lydia and Eliza, and a girl dog named JeffyLu. Suzanne finds life, joy and renewal when she is able to get outside on/near a lake or river.
Maddy Hall Aaen
Pastoral Resident for Children and Youth
Maddy Hall Aaen (pronounced "Owen") grew up in Denton, Texas and lives there now with her husband, Corbin, and her dog, an Australian shepherd named Willa. She got her Bachelor of Arts in English from Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas and is in the final semester of a Master of Divinity at Brite Divinity School in Fort Worth, Texas. Maddy loves going to the movies, playing board games, reading, and playing the guitar. She believes that helping people connect with one another is the best work there is.
Rev. Herb Lynskey
Minister of Prayer and Presence
Rev. Herb Lynskey serves Creekwood as the part-time Minister of Prayer and Presence. In this role, Herb will lead in worship, help with spiritual formation, encourage leadership development, and regularly invite us to prayer together. Herb brings to this role a unique background of serving Creekwood as the interim Senior Minister twice, as well as his background as a spiritual director, area minister and congregational pastor.
